PACS contracts with the Athens YWCO in the operation of the After School program. The YWCO is a non-profit community agency based on Christian values whose mission is promoting healthy lifestyles. The YWCO's objective is to offer programs that increase self-confidence, build character, develop physical fitness and encourage academic development. With programs that already serve four schools in Oconee County, the YWCO is honored and excited to begin the new adventure of also serving the students and families at Prince Avenue in the 2016-2017 school year.

Before School Program

Students are allowed to arrive at school between 7:00-7:45 under the supervision of the Before School Program. Students may be dropped off at the gym where they will be supervised in a non-structured setting until the 7:45 bells rings. At that time students in pre-k through first grade are escorted to their classrooms by one of the program assistants, and students in second grade and above are dismissed to walk directly to their classrooms where they are received by their teachers and supervised until the 8:10 bell rings, signaling the beginning of the school day.

Extended Day Program

Register for Extended Care

Students enrolled in the PACS Pre-K Program are allowed to remain at school from 12:00 (the end of the Pre-K day) until 3:10 (the end of dismissal for lower school) if they are at least five years old. Students participating in this program should bring a lunch from home each day.

Fee Information:

To allow families more flexibility, PACS is offering a weekly pricing plan for our before, extended day (pre-k only), and after school programs.    With this change, families are no longer required to commit to a particular level of attendance.  Instead, a tiered pricing structure will be charged based on a student’s attendance each week.  Our goal is to encourage program participation by allowing families to pay for services only as they are utilized.  The monthly billing option has been discontinued.

The below rates reflect NO RATE INCREASE from the 2015/16 school year.  For those families who previously used a monthly billing plan, you may see a decrease in total program costs as you will now only be charged for the days attended, rather than a fixed billing rate.

Attendance charges will be calculated based on a Monday – Friday week.  These charges will be posted to a family’s FACTS account on a weekly basis using the following rates:
