In the event Prince Avenue Christian School needs to cancel classes or delay opening of school due to weather conditions, you will be notified by a Parent Alert phone call, followed by an email as soon as a decision is made.

We will also contact the following media outlets: WMSL, 1340 and 960 AM, WSB-TV and the Athens Banner Herald.

Prince Avenue Christian School has updated the 2012-2013 Academic Calendar.  There is one change in October, which is noted in bold type below.

School to Use Terra Nova for April Standardized Testing

The standardized Terra Nova, third edition, tests will be administered to the students in grades K-5 during the weeks of April 16th through April 26th.  The Terra Nova series replaces the Stanford Achievement Tests previously used by Prince Avenue Christian School.  The new test series is recommended by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and provide a better assessment of both student and school performance.

Reenrollment for 2012-13 Academic Year Begins

Families who wish to reenroll their students in Prince Avenue Christian School for the 2012-13 academic year may now go online through Renweb's Parents Web to begin the process.  For detailed information about the steps that need to be completed to assure students' place in classes for next year, download the Reenrollment packet below.

Technology Update Meeting for Upper School Parents

As Prince Avenue Christian School considers the implementation of new technology programs for students, a meeting will be held on Monday, January 30, at 6:30 pm in the Wolverine Cafeteria to discuss plans and recommendations that affect upcoming high school students.  All Upper School paarents are encouraged to attend because the technology recommendations will impact students as over the next several years, and it is important for parents to understand the opportunities which will be offered in the coming years.

Kaitlin Appleby Explores Career Opportunities

Prince Avenue Christian School Junior Kaitlin Appleby begins the new school year with a better understanding of just where she wants to be in just a few short years.  And a career in pharmacy seems to be in her future. Katilin was selected to participate in the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy Summer Science Academy, and found that this scientific field was all she expected it to be, and more.
