Wolverines Take Top Honors in 8-A All-Region Team
Prince Avenue Christian School’s Noah Campbell has been named the 8-A All-Region Team Player of the Year. The Wolverines received additional top honors with Dalton Owens named Defensive Player of the Year, Grant Roland named Offensive Player of the Year, and Coach Greg Vandagriff named Coach of the Year. The players and coach were chosen for these awards by the region’s coaches.
Seven other Wolverines were named to the 8-A All-Region Team. Named on offense was Thomas Huff, Christian Parrish, and Daniel Parrish. Named on Defense was Colin Sweet, Sam Wessinger, Nick Brown, and Josh Cartey.
In response to the Wolverines’ success this season, PACS Athletic Director Richard Ricketts describes a talented team who trusted a new and capable coach. “The fact that Coach Vandagriff and so many of our players were selected to the All-Region Team is testament to their hard work, dedication, and abilities. Coach Vandagriff came late and had to assemble a staff and put his plan together in a short time. His ability to communicate his plan and gain the trust of his players is to be greatly commended. Our school is blessed to have such a wonderful coach and talented players.”
