The Prince Avenue Christian School 2018 Summer Reading Lists and associated assignments have been announced.
All lists and assignments are posted on the Prince Avenue website and are itemized by grade.

Prince senior Emily Weaver recently competed in the State Literary Meet held at Georgia Military College in Milledgeville. Emily won first place in Class A Private Rhetorical Essay.
Prince Avenue Christian School lower school students recently participated in the ACSI Spelling Bee and Math Olympics competitions.
Spelling Bee participants traveled to Lilburn, Georgia to compete at Calvary Christian School. The following students received ribbons: 2nd place - Jake Peacock and Riley Reeder, 3rd place - Aurie Chandler and Abigail Wolfe, 4th place - Michael McGinn.

Prince parent Angel Meeler was the speaker at this year’s final Lunch and Learn for high school students. Mrs. Meeler works in medical imaging. She described to students the different types of medical imaging including x-ray, cat scan, and ultrasound. Three Prince Avenue Christian School students recently served as Pages at the Georgia State Capitol. Sixth-grader Sawyer Bradford served State Representative Bruce Williamson in the Georgia House of Representatives. Freshmen Erin Eley and Bailey Hicks served State Senator Frank Ginn in the Georgia State Senate. The girls also had a meeting with Governor Nathan Deal during their day
Prince Avenue Christian School Visual Arts teacher Meghan Hudson recently received the Above and Beyond Award. This award recognizes teachers and staff members through a nomination and evaluation process conducted by members of the school’s Administrative Leadership Team. This individual is considered based on attitude and commitment, work performance, interpersonal skills, and personal traits.
Prince Avenue Christian School high school students recently competed in Region Literary Meet Competition hosted on campus in the Prince Avenue Baptist Church building.

It recently came to my attention that one of our alumni, Mary Elizabeth Blume Stead, is an author of children’s literature, and her book, Katie Watson and the Painter’s Plot, will be placed in the Prince library and on our summer reading list.

Prince Avenue senior Emily Weaver has been named the 2017-18 STAR Student for Prince Avenue Christian School, scoring the highest on one sitting of the SAT test this year.
