Members of the Prince Avenue Christian School Band program have been selected for the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) First Year and District Jazz Honor Bands this spring. Both of these groups are comprised of the finest band students from throughout northeast Georgia.

Both the Athletic and Fine Arts Departments will host a variety of opportunities for students from Prince and the surrounding area to participate in action packed and fun-filled camps directed by Prince Avenue coaches and teachers.

The Prince Avenue Christian School Fine Arts Department will present The Phantom of the Opera on Thursday, March 23rd at 7 pm, Friday, March 24th at 7 pm, and Saturday, March 25th at 2 pm and 7 pm. All performances will be in the Seney Stovall Chapel. Friday night is SOLD OUT. Tickets are still available
PACS junior, Rebecca Hathaway, tied for 2nd place at the State Literary Meet on Saturday. Rebecca wrote a monologue based on the Junie B. Jones books and competed in the Humorous Dramatic Interpretation category.
The Prince Avenue Christian School Advanced Band recently performed at the Georgia Music Educators Association District Performance Evaluation. Band Director Miles Adams explains, “The District Performance Evaluation is the ‘standardized test’ for band programs in our state. It is comparable to the SAT for academics or the region tournament for athletics.”

Prince Avenue Christian High School students recently participated in the GHSA Region Literary Meet. Junior Rebecca Hathaway placed second in Humorous Oral Interpretation and will go on to compete in the State Literary Meet.

Four Prince Avenue Christian School students participated in the ACSI Piano Festival held at Loganville Christian Academy.
The students are 5th grader McKenzie Paul – superior, 6th grader Charlie Frierson – superior, freshman Kathryn Anne Frierson – superior, and junior Addie Lee Frierson – excellent. McKenzie, Charlie, Kathryn Anne, and Addie Lee all receive piano instruction from Sharon
Prince Avenue Christian School students will have artwork displayed at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation Center from February 25 – March 23 as part of Oconee County Youth Art Month. Youth Art Month is a national show in coordination with the National Art Education Association. All of the artwork on display is from private and public schools in Oconee
Prince Avenue Christian School sophomore Nate Aldin has been named to the 2017 Georgia All-State Band. Nate plays the clarinet in the PACS Advanced Band and is the first band student in PACS history to be selected for high school All-State Band. Nate will rehearse and perform with this distinguished group March 2-4 at the Athens Classic Center.
The Prince Avenue Christian School Fine Arts Department will sponsor Fine Arts Week February 13 - 17. The week will include many activities for the school as well as special events for Fine Arts students.
Fine Arts Week will be celebrated school-wide with themed dress-up days.
