Prince Information on COVID-19
Prince Avenue Christian School will not be returning to a traditional school environment these last five weeks of school. The last class day for seniors remains May 8; however, all grades will now finish the school year on May 15 instead of May 22. The school can make this change because and instructional week was “gained” by canceling the week of standardized testing.
In response to the decision to remain online for the remainder of this school year, the Prince leadership team is collaborating and brainstorming with other school leaders on how the school can memorialize milestone events like kindergarten graduation, the fifth grade moving up ceremony, junior-senior prom, Thing-a-Thon, recognition day, awards day, and high school graduation.
In addition, the school is working on logistical issues that include how to ensure the contents of students’ lockers are safely and accurately returned to them; the distribution of yearbooks; the collection of textbooks; the turning in of athletic uniforms, and many other details. Prince is in the process of clearly defining each undertaking to be completed and the most effective and efficient plan for its completion.
For the safety of students and faculty, please do not ask to come to the school to retrieve any materials. The principals in each grade level will be glad to assist to the best of their abilities with any individual requests. Members of the Prince leadership team are routinely on campus and working to ensure the continued, smooth operation of the school.
