School-Wide Food Drive to Support “Brave Like Wyatt”
The Prince Avenue Christian School Beta Club is sponsoring a school-wide food drive on February 17 – 28 to support Brave Like Wyatt, a non-profit organization established by a Prince family, the Hatchers, in memory of their son Wyatt. Wyatt’s older brother, Nick Hatcher, is a senior at Prince.
Brave Like Wyatt is collecting select food pantry items for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s “Feed the Heart” initiative. These food items provide free drinks, snacks, and non-perishable food items for families whose children require extended hospital stays.
The Prince community will partner with Brave Like Wyatt and support this wonderful cause. Classes will be competing for the most items donated. The lower school class with the most items donated will receive a donut party. The middle and high school grades with the most items donated will receive ice cream (with toppings) at lunch one day.
All food items must be store-bought, pre-packaged, and non-perishable. Donors should check all expiration dates as expired food cannot be donated.
Collection boxes will be placed in the following places:
- lower school classrooms
- middle and high school sponsors’ classrooms
- front office
For questions, please contact Megan Caylor at mcaylor@princeave.org.
