Wolverine Voices to be Heard in Carnegie Hall
Prince Avenue Christian School fine arts students will join a 300 voice choir performing in Carnegie Hall next week at the Christian School Chorale. This is the third time the school has participated in the event.
The Christian School Chorale is composed of students representing twelve schools from across the country. Under the direction of Fine Arts Director LaMurl Morris, Prince Avenue’s high school chorus completed the application and audition process and has been rehearsing for months for the performance.
The chorus students will be joined on the trip by Prince Avenue drama and art students, who will be touring New York City while the the music students rehearse. The drama students will have the opportunity to attend behind the scene tours at Broadway theatres and news shows, and the art students will visit the Museum of Modern Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and artist markets.
All the fine arts students will see the Broadway musical Wicked, visit the Rockefeller Center, and attend worship services at the Times Square Church.
