Pruett Signs to Play Softball at Lee University
Prince Avenue Christian School senior Annabeth Pruett has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee. A signing ceremony was held Monday at the school.
As a four-year starter for the Prince Avenue Wolverines, Annabeth played outfield and first base, she was a member of three region championship teams and also placed 2nd in the state GHSA tournament this year and 3rd in 2010.
In 2012, Annabeth ended the season with a .479 batting average, with six homeruns, four triples and eleven doubles, 25 walks, and a .593 on-base percentage, setting several single season school records in each of the categories. She started the season with a grand slam homerun, and ended the home season with two more homers.
She was named to the 2012 Region 8A team and the 2011 Region 8A second team.
Annabeth plans to pursue a career as a Physician’s Assistant in Orthopedics. At Prince Avenue, she was a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, is an AP Scholar, and was on the Headmaster’s Honor Roll each semester.
She is the daughter of Daniel and Keribeth Pruett of Madison County.
