Wolverines Headed to State Track and Field Finals

Six Prince Avenue Christian School athletes have qualified for the GHSA state track and field finals.  The girls meet will be held this weekend in Albany, and the boys meet is scheduled for the following weekend in Jefferson.

Senior Anna Machovec will defend both state titles she won last year in shot put and discus.  She qualified by winning the area 2 meet last Saturday.  Senior Christian Payne will also compete in the shot put in the boys meet.

Sophomore Kevon Hudson qualified in three events, including the 100 and 200 meter runs, and the long jump.  Junior Sydney Henderson will compete in the long jump at the girls meet.  

Senior James Wagner qualified for the 300 meter hurdles, and sophomore Abby Hathaway will run in the 1600 meter competition.
