PACS Seniors Minister Through Local Organizations
While some students of the Prince Avenue Christian School senior class are working this week in Honduras, those seniors that did not travel are participating in local mission initiatives. These students spent Monday learning survey-evangelism and how to talk with others about the gospel.
Tuesday and Wednesday the students will split into two groups, one to participate in survey evangelism on campus at UGA and another to work at The Sparrow’s Nest, a local homeless shelter.
Thursday and Friday, the local mission team will spend time helping the Atlanta Mission Thrift Store by sorting donations, helping customer, and assisting the workers there. Students will also work at The Potter’s House assisting with outdoor manual improvements to the ministry property.
These projects allow PACS seniors to see and experience ways to reach the local community for Christ and to recognize and minister to the needs of those close to home. Students are able to put into practice physically what they have learned spiritually during their education at PACS.
