Girls Advance to Elite Eight, Boys Conclude Historic Season
After winning Region Championships and earning a First Round bye, the Prince Avenue Christian School girl and boys basketball teams competed in the 2nd Round of the Class A Private State Basketball Tournament.
The Lady Wolverines played Pinecrest Academy and won 67-44 advancing to the GHSA Elite Eight for the second straight year. The ladies were led by Hall (20), Britt (15), Armstrong (14), and Henderson (10). They will play Stratford Academy in Macon on Tuesday, February 27th. Time to be announced.
The Wolverines played Brookstone School and lost a close, down to the buzzer, hard-fought game 56-54. They conclude their historic season 19-9 having won their first Region Title and a trip to the Sweet 16.
