Sewell Nominated for Shuler Hensley Award, Wilson and Johnston in Shuler Student Ensemble
Prince Avenue Christian School sophomore Thompson Sewell has received a Shuler Hensley Award nomination for his role as Cat in the Hat in the Prince Fine Arts production of Seussical. Thompson will perform at the Shuler Hensley Awards ceremony on April 19th at the Cobb Energy Center. The ceremony will be broadcast live at 7:00 pm on Georgia Public Broadcasting.
In addition, PACS sophomores Riley Wilson and Jack Johnston have been selected as Shuler Student Ensemble members. Riley and Jack will rehearse and perform the opening and closing acts of the Shuler Hensley Awards ceremony with other talented students from across the state of Georgia.
Fashioned after Broadway’s Tony Awards, the Shuler Hensley Awards celebrate excellence in high school musical theater. Prince competed against 69 other schools across the state with their production of Seussical.
