Fine Arts Students Place 2nd and 3rd in State Literary Competition
After placing second in their events at region competition, Prince Avenue Christian School Fine Arts students recently competed in State Literary Meet sponsored by the Georgia High School Association and held in Milledgeville, Georgia.
At state competition, Prince students competed in Oral Performance, Rhetorical Essay, Boys Quartet, and Boys Solo.
Junior Jack Johnston tied for second in state in Boys Solo Competition. He was required to sing two selections by memory in contrasting style a cappella or with live accompaniment.
The Prince Boys Quartet, comprised of sophomores Finn McGinnis and Walker Johnson and juniors Jack Johnston and Thompson Sewell, placed third in state. The quartet was also required to sing two selections by memory in contrasting style a cappella or with live accompaniment.
Prince students have worked on preparations for Literary Competition since the beginning of the school year. Congratulations to these students for representing Prince with excellence in the Fine Arts.
