PACS Named Jostens 2019 National Yearbook Program of Excellence
Jostens, the leading producer of yearbooks and student-created content, today announced that Prince Avenue Christian School’s yearbook program has been named a 2019 Jostens’ National Yearbook Program of Excellence. The National Yearbook Program of Excellence recognizes engaging yearbooks that reflect a broad representation of the student body while helping students develop 21st-century skills such as communication, collaboration, and information and communication technologies (ICT) literacy.
The PACS award-winning yearbook program is led by co-editors, Cassie Atha and Kelly Cascella under the direction of Allison Bentley, PACS yearbook adviser.
Staff members include Niyah Beasley, Sawyer Bradford, Tori Cameron, Jake Carter, Weston Elrod, Charlie Frierson, Madi Gillespie, Alex Gilmore, Mason Goodyear, Jack Graffin, Gavin Harter, Haley Holcombe, Will Howard, William Johnson, Jayda Keefer, Jackson Mitchell, Mac Ross, Madison Sizemore, Eden Solomon, Mary Grant Thurmond, Leila Todd, Parrish Treadwell, Kaitlyn Ward and Caleb Wilson.
“I am so proud of this year’s staff. This the largest staff we have had with twenty-six and half of them are in middle school. It has been great watching each of them capture and tell the stories of our student body throughout the year,” said Bentley.
Jostens’ National Yearbook Program of Excellence Awards are presented twice a year, in spring and in fall for yearbooks delivered during the school year. The award was presented to the PACS yearbook program for achieving the defined criteria in each of the three following categories: creating an inclusive yearbook, generating school engagement, and successfully managing the yearbook creation process.
“Jostens is proud to recognize those individuals who have acted as wonderful stewards by creating an exceptional yearbook for their school and community,” said Chuck Mooty, Jostens president and CEO. “Yearbooks are a critical part of telling a school’s story, and Jostens is dedicated to supporting yearbook staff members with state-of-the-art tools and resources that help celebrate moments that matter.”
