Abby Davis Selected as Rotary Student of the Semester
Senior Abby Davis was named the second semester Prince Avenue Christian School Rotary Student of the Semester selected by teachers for her demonstration of the Rotary Club motto of “Service Above Self.”
Abby is the daughter of Shane and Kimberly Davis and has attended Prince Avenue for three years. She chose high school science teacher Carrie Owens to share this honor with her at a Rotary Club breakfast.
Mrs. Owens describes Abby as an exemplary student. “I have had the privilege this year to see Abby’s determination and hard work ethic as she has tackled challenging concepts in AP Biology. Abby has a ‘no quit’ attitude which has served her well and helped her find success. Abby also exudes joy and enthusiasm each day. It has been an honor to teach her this year.”
During her time at Prince, Abby has been active in athletics as a member of the Varsity Girls Soccer Team, Swim Team, and Cheerleading Squad. Academically, she has achieved the Headmaster’s All A Honor Roll all three years.
Abby attends Watkinsville First Baptist Church where she volunteers in the three-year-old class. She is also a member of the youth program’s leadership team.
Abby explains that Prince has been a place where she has been able to grow as a Christian and as a student. “My teachers, as well as my coaches, have always pushed me to be the best version of myself. For that, I am forever grateful for my high school years spent at PACS.”
Abby plans to attend the University of North Georgia Oconee and then transfer to the University of Georgia to study Nursing.
