Hale, Hudson, and Wentworth Selected as GISA Master Teachers
Three teachers from Prince Avenue Christian School were recently selected by the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) as Master Teachers. Second-grade teacher Cindy Hale, High School Art teacher Meghan Hudson, and Middle School Science teacher Bob Wentworth were chosen from over 166 GISA member schools and hundreds of applicants.
The selection process for Master Teacher is challenging and competitive. To be considered for the program, candidates are required to submit an application as well as a portfolio including three tangible examples of outstanding work related to the classroom and to sharing and collaborating with other educators. Among other requirements is an unedited video of the candidate’s classroom teaching utilizing best practices and five letters of recommendation.
Mrs. Hale, Mrs. Hudson, and Mr. Wentworth will be honored during the Annual GISA Conference to be held at Tallulah Falls School in Tallulah Falls, Georgia and also at a special Master Teacher Luncheon.
In all, Prince has had eight teachers selected as Master Teachers. Congratulations to these Prince teachers for their exemplary work and for all that they contribute to Prince Avenue Christian School.
