Meg Chandler Recipient of The Megan Twist Memorial Scholarship
Prince Avenue Christian School 2020 graduate Meg Chandler has been selected as the 2020 recipient of The Megan Twist Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship was established to remember and honor the life of Megan Twist, a 2011 PACS graduate and winner of numerous academic and extra-curricular awards. Megan graduated from Georgia Southern University and made the Dean’s List several times, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and public relations. Megan was a compassionate friend always portraying strength for others, choosing to lift them up during their trials and encouraging them with love and laughter. Megan’s life was a testimony of bringing happiness and joy into every life she touched.
The PACS faculty submitted nominees, and senior Meg Chandler emerged as the one nominee that was most reflective of Megan’s heart for people and family. Meg Chandler is described by her nominating teachers as an exceptional young lady who is full of laughter and joy with an enthusiasm and openness that brightens the classroom. “Meg is always surrounded by friends and goes out of her way to help others. In addition, Meg is a hard-working choosing rigorous and demanding classes. She does not give up when faced with difficulty.”
While at Prince Avenue, Meg played Varsity Soccer and was in the National Honors Society, Beta Club, and the National Art Honors Society. She plans to attend the University of Georgia and major in psychology.
It is the hope of The Megan Twist Memorial Scholarship committee that this yearly $10,000 college scholarship will bring glory to Christ and encourage others to love more intentionally as God has shown his love. The founding donors of this memorial gift wish to remain anonymous.
