Owens and Vandagriff Sign to Play College Football

Two Prince Avenue Christian School seniors signed on December 16th to play football at the college level.  Tailback Landon Owens signed to play with The Citadel, and quarterback Brock Vandagriff signed to play with the University of Georgia.

Landon Owens received First Team All-Region honors for the 2020 season.  Head Coach Greg Vandagriff says that Landon has done a terrific job for the Wolverines.  “I am very excited that he has chosen to follow in his brother’s footsteps, but I am sure he will blaze his own path at The Citadel.  The Prince football family wishes him the best in college, and we know he will represent us well.”

Brock Vandagriff received First Team All-Region Honors and 2020 Player of the Year for Region 8A.  Brock’s father, who is also his head coach, says that Brock has been a pleasure to coach and a tremendous leader on and off the field.  “Many years ago, Brock challenged himself to strive to be the best player possible, and I would say that he has done an excellent job of maximizing his potential.  As a father, I could not be more excited for him.”
