Prince Places Second in State One-Act Competition, Capps Best Actor
Following their region championship, the Prince Avenue Christian School Fine Arts Department won second in the GHSA Division 1 A State One-Act competition with their performance of the Gershwin musical Crazy for You. Prince competed against performances by seven other schools on November 19th in Warner Robbins, Georgia.
Prince sophomore Dylan Capps won Best Actor in state for his role as Bobby Child, and seniors Claire Gann and Kaylor Jones were named all-star cast.
Prince Fine Arts Director LaMurl Morris explains that the cast and crew worked together to develop and create all components of the show. “Our cast was able to reach a new level of excellence through their consistent hard work in understanding the text, learning the music and choreography, and developing characters. We are also grateful for the support and help of our fine arts parents who assisted in numerous ways.”
