What an amazing day of ministry! Today was our last day in Pavas. We completed our three house builds, helped furnish the houses with needed items, and stocked the pantries with several months’ worth of food. As we presented the houses to the families, we also clearly shared the Gospel. It was also very difficult to say goodbye to the sweet children at VBS.
Tuesday, March 28th
VBS today at the church has been amazing. It is so great to see our students interact with these children and teach them the life-giving words of the Gospel. Our three house-builds are also coming along nicely. All three building locations are practically done with their builds, and they simply have some of the finer details.
Pray that we will finish the houses in a timely manner, and pray for the families that will take occupancy of these houses tomorrow. Continue to pray for our Gospel conversations and that the people we interact with will choose to trust and follow Jesus.
In Athens, our seniors served with the Sparrow’s Nest. The Sparrow’s Nest has been a ministry staple in our community for a long time. Our students were able to help prepare meals, organize the clothes closet, and take care of some needed maintenance items. One highlight was working with Prince alumnus Boone Seay (class of 2019) who works at Sparrow’s Nest as assistant facilities director.
Monday, March 27th
Pray for excellent gospel conversations that will happen between our students, the house-building workers, and the children at the church over the next several days.
They all did a great job jumping in and helping in whatever way was needed.
Sunday, March 26th
After a very early start and a stop in Baltimore, we have arrived in Costa Rica! At the airport, we were met by our two wonderful Joshua Expedition Guides, Spencer and Johnny. They will both be with us all week and will be our primary translators. We were able to visit a coffee plantation after lunch and see how Costa Rica grows and sells its wonderful coffee. Our students are eager to rest after a long day and are ready for their first day of ministry tomorrow.
Please pray for our students to rest well tonight so they can best minister to those they will meet tomorrow.
Please pray for these students and chaperones as they minister and share the Gospel:
