Crane and Schroeder Recognized as GISA Master Teachers
Two Prince Avenue Christian School teachers were recently named by the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) as Master Teachers. Fourth-grade teacher Dawn Crane and middle school math teacher Beth Schroeder were chosen from 171 GISA member schools and were recognized at a special luncheon held at Strong Rock Christian School in Locust Grove, Georgia.
The selection process for the Master Teacher program is challenging and competitive. To be considered for the program, candidates are required to submit an application as well as a portfolio including three tangible examples of outstanding work related to the classroom and to sharing and collaborating with other educators. Among other requirements is an unedited video of the candidate’s classroom teaching utilizing best practices and five letters of recommendation.
Prince currently has 16 teachers who have achieved the distinguished honor of GISA Master Teacher, the most of any GISA member school in the state of Georgia. Congratulations to these faculty members for their exemplary work and for all that they contribute to Prince Avenue Christian School.
