2024 Yearbook Dedicated to Eley and Hale
The 2023-2024 Prince yearbook staff recently presented the 42nd edition of the Koinonia to the Prince student body. This year’s yearbook was dedicated to two Prince Avenue faculty and staff members – Campus Director of Technology Kendall Eley and 2nd grade teacher Cindy Hale.
Mr. Eley has served at Prince for 15 years. In addition to his current position as Campus Director of Technology, Mr. Eley has also served as a high school teacher and the academic dean. He led Prince through the first joint accreditation with the Association of Christian Schools International and the Southern Association of Independent Schools, allowing Prince to be the first school in the state of Georgia accredited by both agencies at that time. Through Mr. Eley’s leadership in technology, Prince has implemented the Prince IT Help Center, interactive flat panels, 1:1 laptop to student/teacher ratio campus-wide, live and recorded broadcasts of campus events, a new phone system, a new bell system, and the new Centegix campus security system. His vision and hard work have enabled Prince to handle the ever-changing demands of technology.
Mrs. Hale has taught at Prince Avenue for 23 years and also serves as the school’s Spelling Bee Chairman. Mrs. Hale is well-described as a “Proverbs 31 woman”. She arrives at school early in the morning and does not leave in the afternoon until the tasks of the day and preparation for the next are completed. Orderliness and cheerfulness are Mrs. Hale’s hallmarks; any project she attempts is completed with the utmost dedication and precision. Mrs. Hale has the ability to weave her Christian faith both into her instruction and into her relationships with students.
The theme of this year’s yearbook is “Onward” inspired by the biblical guidance in Proverbs 4:25-26, “Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.” The yearbook staff includes faculty sponsor Lizzie Hudlow and students Naomi Bledsoe, Kelsey Cascella, Peyton Downs, Preston Edmonds, Adrian Gonzalez, Dachelle Lucas, Lauren MacDonald, Jack Naeher, Julia Anne Shiver, and Bailey Throckmorton.
