Hunt, Marlow, and Mayne Recognized as GISA Master Teachers
Three Prince Avenue Christian School teachers were recently named by the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) as Master Teachers. Fine Arts teacher Hannah Hunt, lower school music teacher Will Marlow, and fifth-grade teacher Gina Mayne were chosen from 166 GISA member schools and will be recognized at a special luncheon held by GISA.
The selection process for the Master Teacher program is challenging and competitive. To be considered for the program, candidates are required to submit an application as well as a portfolio including three tangible examples of outstanding work related to the classroom and to sharing and collaborating with other educators. Among other requirements is an unedited video of the candidate’s classroom teaching utilizing best practices and five letters of recommendation.
Prince currently has 19 teachers who have achieved the distinguished honor of GISA Master Teacher, the most of any GISA member school in the state of Georgia. Congratulations to these faculty members for their exemplary work and for all that they contribute to Prince Avenue Christian School.
