Bowen Selected as Rotary Student of the Semester
Prince senior Kinsley Bowen was selected as the Rotary Student of the Semester for Spring 2025. Kinsley was chosen by Prince teachers for her demonstration of the Rotary Club motto of “Service Above Self”.
Kinsley is the daughter of Lanell and Robby Bowen and has attended Prince for 14 years. She is in the National Honor Society, National Beta Club, National Art Honor Society, and Interact Club. Kinsley also served on Student Government, was a Homecoming Court Representative, and participated in the Classic Literature Club, Fine Arts productions, and the varsity cross country, soccer, and track teams. Kinsley attends Prince Avenue Baptist church, where she plays the piano for worship, and she has volunteered at Lego Camp, Soccer Camp, and Camp 78.
Kinsley selected Prince Director of Campus Life and Bible teacher Dr. Nick Wilbur as her teacher representative to share in this honor. Kinsley explains that Dr. Wilbur has shown her how to truly live as a disciple of Jesus Christ. “Through his actions and teaching, I have seen that he loves his job and the people around him and has an obvious zeal for the Lord. He has shown me that my life is more than the grades I get or the college I get into, but it is really my relationship with God that matters.”
Dr. Wilbur describes Kinsley as a wonderful student whose charm, smile, and charisma inspire her peers and teachers. “Kinsley is a constant beacon of joy and a hard worker in all subject matters. She is deeply rooted in her faith, and she is constantly pointing her peers to Jesus.”
Kinsley plans to attend the University of Georgia and study criminal justice.
