David Receives Appointment to West Point
Prince Avenue Christian School senior Brooks David has received an appointment to the United States Military Academy. Congressman Mike Collins nominated Brooks for this highly competitive honor, and West Point Admissions Field Representative Matt Whitley visited campus to formally present his appointment.
Brooks, the son of Ashlie and Clark David, has attended Prince for 14 years. He is the Class of 2026 Valedictorian and a member of the National Beta Club, National Honor Society, Thespian Society, and Tri-M Honor Society. His honors include the DAR Good Citizen Award, the Georgia Certificate of Merit, and a nomination to the Governor’s Honors Program. Brooks has been actively involved in Performing Arts, Voices of Prince, Extemporaneous Speaking, and varsity football, and he was selected as a homecoming court representative. He plans to major in civil engineering.
Head of School Col. Seth Hathaway noted that a West Point appointment reflects both exceptional intellect and a disciplined work ethic. “Brooks is an outstanding young man who has combined academic achievement with proven leadership, athletic involvement, and a commitment to service,” Hathaway said. “He will receive one of the finest undergraduate educations in the country while joining the United States Corps of Cadets, where he will experience a camaraderie forged through shared challenge, discipline, and bonds that endure long after his time at the Academy.”
