Covington Honored with Servant’s Heart Award
Prince Avenue Christian School recognizes the important role that our competent and qualified staff plays in our school community. Through the support of a generous donor, Prince honors one staff member each year with the Servant’s Heart Award. Using an acronym for the word HEART, the recipient of this award is recognized for demonstrating humility, encouragement, authenticity, responsibility, and trustworthiness.
This year’s Servant’s Heart Award was presented to front office receptionist Holly Covington. In her important role in the front office, Mrs. Covington is often the first person to greet students, parents, prospective families, and community members. She works tirelessly to help keep the school running smoothly—whether welcoming guests, conducting visitor background screenings, issuing campus badges, coordinating student pickups, transferring calls, or assisting families and faculty with a variety of needs. Through it all, she maintains a positive attitude and a servant-minded spirit.
Holly has served at Prince for four years and has also worked as a substitute teacher, library assistant, director of before-school care, and after-school care counselor. Her willingness to serve wherever needed and her commitment to supporting students, families, and colleagues have made her a valued member of the Prince community. Mrs. Covington exemplifies the heart of this award through her faithful service, genuine care for others, and dedication to glorifying Christ in her daily work.
