Tickets Available to Prince One-Act Production of Guys and Dolls, Jr.
The Prince Avenue Christian School Fine Arts high school students will present a one-act production of Guys and Dolls, Jr. at the Prince Avenue Baptist Church Tabernacle. Showtimes are Tuesday, October 20th and Thursday, October 22nd at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $15 at the door or online at www.princeave.org.
On its opening night on Broadway in 1950, critics raved that Guys and Dolls was the “perfect musical comedy”. Decades later the sentiment remains. With beloved Broadway classics like, “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat”, “Luck Be a Lady”, and “Bushel and a Peck”, audiences are sure to fall in love with this cherished Broadway favorite.
Set in an exaggerated 1940s New York City, this show follows the lives of two distinctly different types of people: gamblers and missionaries. As the layers peel back, they discover that they have more in common than they first anticipated and that love can be found in the most unlikely of places.
The show features a cast of unforgettable characters played by your favorite Prince actors, including Sarah, the “mission doll” (senior, Elora Rentfrow), Adelaide, “the well-known fiancé” (sophomore, Marlo Haridin), “good ole reliable” Nathan Detroit (senior, Bennett Hicks), and Sky Masterson, “the highest player of them all” (senior, Ryder Capps).
Audiences won’t want to miss this show full of laughter and heart!
