Mr. and Miss PACS 2026
Prince Avenue Christian School seniors Luke Childress and Maddie Capps were selected by their high school peers as Mr. and Miss PACS 2026.
Luke Childress is the son of Christa and Danny Childress and has attended Prince for four years. Luke is a member of the National Beta Club and National Honor Society (chaplain) and serves as a Barnabas mentor. He is a starter for the varsity basketball team and runs varsity track. Luke attends Prince Avenue Baptist Church and serves as a coach at youth basketball camps in the summer. His favorite Bible verse is Psalm 115:1: “Not to us, Lord, but your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” Luke hopes to pursue a degree in counseling psychology or social work at Auburn or the University of Georgia.
Maddie Capps is the daughter of Meredith and Bradley Capps and has attended Prince for three years. Maddie is a member of the National Beta Club and National Honor Society (chaplain), serves as a Barnabas mentor, and is a member of the Youth Leadership Athens class of 2026. As a varsity athlete, Maddie holds the school record for high jump and runs track. Maddie attends Prince Avenue Baptist Church, where she volunteers with the Prince Pals ministry. Her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 5:14-16, which reads, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven.” Maddie plans to pursue a degree in exercise science at Georgia College and State University.
Mr. and Miss PACS were chosen by their peers from a group of five senior boys and five senior girls representing the senior class on the Homecoming Court. Representatives were selected based on Christian character, with an emphasis on the greatest commandment in Matthew chapter 22: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind,” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
