Furlow Named DAR Good Citizen and Rotary Student of the Semester
Prince senior Rinne Furlow was recently recognized for two distinct honors – The Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award and the Rotary Student of the Semester. Both awards recognize Rinne for her outstanding character, commitment to citizenship, and willingness to serve others. For the Rotary award, Rinne selected high school English teacher Elizabeth Sadler to share in this recognition.
Miss Sadler describes Rinne as a leader both in and out of the classroom. “Rinne is confident in herself and is a meticulous planner, which allows others to trust her decisions and directions, whether given in class, on the stage, or while acting as class president. We will all greatly miss Rinne’s enthusiasm and leadership.”
Rinne has attended Prince Avenue Christian School for ten years. She is a member of the Beta Club, National Honors Society, Interact Club, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and the Thespian Society. During her years at Prince, Rinne was active in the Prince Fine Arts Department acting in 16 productions, serving as the student marketing intern for Fine Arts, and the vice president of the Thespian Society. In addition, Rinne has been involved in student government as president of the senior class and has served as a student mentor in the Barnabas Program. She also serves as a camp counselor at Camp Chattooga in the summer. Rinne plans to attend the University of Georgia and major in marketing.
