Military Academy Day for students in grades 8-12
As the Academy Director for Congressman Jody Hice, I want you know of an exceptional opportunity for your high school students. Each year, members of Congress nominate qualified candidates to the United States military academies. Part of that process is to encourage students who may be interested in attending an academy to attend a statewide academy event to familiarize them with the application and nomination process.
Who: Students in Grades 8-12
What: Statewide Academy Day
When: 10-11:30 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2015
Where: Dobbins Air Reserve Base, 1408 Dobbins Place, Dobbins ARB, Marietta, GA 30069
Senator Johnny Isakson will be hosting Academy Day on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 10:00-11:30 AM at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, GA. Representatives from all five service academies, as well as cadets and midshipmen, will be in attendance and ready to answer questions. The event is open to students in grades 8-12 and their parents. All attendees must make a reservation and present photo identification at the Cobb Parkway checkpoint for admittance.
To register online, visit Senator Isakson’s web site at http://isakson.senate.gov by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. No exceptions will be made. Each person, including parents, who will attend Academy Day must register, given the requirements for entry onto the military base.
If you need any additional information about this event, please contact Nancy Brooks by calling (770) 661-0999 in Senator Isakson’s office.
