Summer Opportunity for Sophomores & Juniors

Summer programs are a great way to explore your major/career interests. Oftentimes, in the college admissions process, colleges look to see if applicants have tapped into opportunities to explore what they are declaring as their major on their application. They call this “major awareness”.

If you are a current sophomore or junior and interested habitat stewardship, law enforcement, state parks hospitality, fisheries & wildlife management, coastal conservation, etc. check out the Georgia DNR Career Academy. You get to spend a week on the Georgia Coast learning alongside current DNR employees through immersive experiences. You can learn more and apply here. The deadline is November 16, 2026
