In 2018, Prince began a new and tradition of hosting a special Veterans Day Ceremony for the school and surrounding community.

Local veterans, many of whom are Prince family members and alumni, are invited to this student-led program. From the moment veterans arrive on campus, they will be honored by Prince Avenue lower school students lining the entranceway holding American flags. Middle and high school students will lead attendees in the pledge of allegiance, describe the history and purpose of Veterans Day, and read a summary of each branch of service. Each branch will also be recognized through the playing of a medley of the armed forces service songs. Veterans will enjoy letters read by students, music and singing by the school’s band and chorus, and a special time of prayer for all veterans. The veterans are invited to attend a special reception following the ceremony, and handmade mementos will be given to veterans upon their departure.
