Rev. Franklin Scott Speaks to Prince Avenue Students
Rev. Franklin Scott, senior campus minister of the University of Georgia Baptist Collegiate Ministry, was the winter quarter Distinguished Speaker for the Prince Avenue Christian School Christian Character Development Program series.
Rev. Scott addressed PACS middle and high school students about the importance of knowing who they are and whose they are. From Exodus 19:2-6, students were reminded that the people of Israel were God's people and that God loved them and would fight for them. This knowledge of God and their relationship with Him is what guided their lives. Rev. Scott encouraged PACS students to likewise remember that the foundation of their lives is the Lord and His great love for them. Rev. Scott suggested that students apply his teaching by thinking about and discussing with their families how they have seen God's love and grace manifested in their lives individually and as a family.
With each Distinguished Speaker, students, guided by faculty members, will have follow up discussions in small groups at the next chapel.
