Prince Avenue Christian School New Website Launched
Prince Avenue Christian School has launched a new dynamic website to enhance the communication between families and staff and provide up-to-date information for users interested in obtaining more information about the school.
“Our website had become out-dated and difficult to use,” says marketing director Linda Zeagler. “Last Spring, we began to research ways to improve our site through new technology, construction and design, and are pleased that we are ready to release the first stage of the new site.”
The site was designed and constructed by local advertising agency, the AdSmith. “We have worked with the Adsmith’s staff for many years on a variety of projects, including the school’s previous website,” says Zeagler. “Continuing our work with them has been a pleasure. They know and understand the communication and marketing needs of our school, and have done an excellent job of incorporating solutions to these needs into the new and improved site.”
Like most schools, Prince Avenue’s communication needs can easily be driven by its calendar of events, and the dynamic calendar the Adsmith has built for Prince Avenue is one of the most important aspects of the new site. The calendar will be displayed on most of the site’s pages, and can be filtered on various pages, and incorporates academic, arts, and athletic schedules in a variety of displays. The ever-popular lunch menu is available as a quick link on the site’s home page.
The release of phase one of the new site provides detailed information about the school’s academic, admissions, arts, athletics, spiritual life, giving, and alumni areas, with a media center structured to allow the placement of event photos in slide shows on all pages. In addition, teachers will be able to develop their own pages within the site, and athletic news and results can be displayed within the schedules.
One special feature of the site is the inclusion of student profiles. Studio photos for the profiles, and other website pictures, were provided by Aimee Lashley Photography; Nicole Richt Johnson Photography also submitted pictures for the site.
The first phase of the site is not yet complete, and additional and updated content and new photographs will be added quickly as school begins.
Phase two will explore the creation all school forms for online submission, completing the winter and spring athletic sections, developing the SUMMER at PRINCE pages, and proving opportunities for online giving, financial payments and admission and employment applications.
