We Joined the Rav-olution!
Prince Avenue Christian School students, faculty, and staff donated 1655 cans of ravioli as part of the Rav-olution, a drive to provide food for the Oconee Kids Mission. The OKM is an organization that provides food bags for needy students in an effort to make sure they can eat over weekends.
The drive at Prince Avenue was sponsored by the National Beta Club and the school’s marketing class. Pictured with the trailer full of cans are (l-r) Jack Tebeau, Caleb Land, Olivia Shiver, Bradley Lastinger, and Beta Club president Kristin Witcher.
This is the second community service project sponsored by the school in recent weeks. At the end of January, the National Art Honor Society raised $2000 through an “Empty Bowls” auction. Students, faculty and staff made pottery bowls, filled them with goodies, and auctioned them to support a local charity, A Bigger Vision.
