Pound for Pound Canned Food Drive Challenge Begins
The Prince Avenue chapter of the National Beta Club will be leading a canned food drive “Tackle Hunger, Pound for Pound”. This drive helps provide local charities with the means to serve those in the community who need assistance. The contributions made by PACS will help ensure that these organizations can continue their services.
To make the drive more interesting, the PACS Beta Club has issued a challenge to the entire student body. Each grade will be assigned two football players. It will then be that grade's job to match the weight of the football players in canned food. One can equals one pound.
The Lower School grade that best matches or exceeds their goal will receive an ice cream party provided by the school. The Middle School and High School prizes will be a spirit day pass for the entire grade.
This project will begin Friday, October 31st and will run through Friday, November 14th.
This important cause will allow PACS students to serve as an example of Christ's humble and loving service to all. The challenge is on!
