Daniel Named STAR Student, Selects Lincoln as STAR Teacher
Prince Avenue senior Claire Daniel was named the 2014-15 STAR Student from Prince Avenue Christian School, scoring the highest on one sitting of the SAT test this year. She selected History teacher David Lincoln as her STAR Teacher. Both were recently honored at the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce Star Student Breakfast.
In addition to the distinguished achievement of STAR Student, Claire is also an AP Scholar, National Merit Scholar, Commended Student, and a Wolverine Scholar for highest ACT and PLAN scores. Claire is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, National Art Honor Society, Interact Club, and Youth Leadership Athens.
When asked about her choice of STAR Teacher, Claire explained that Coach Lincoln was her first AP teacher. “Coach Lincoln not only instilled in me a love of learning but also important study habits that have stayed with me ever since. These lessons Coach Lincoln taught me in his class have made me the student I am today.”
Claire plans to attend the University of Georgia as a part of the honors program and major in Biological Sciences on a pre-med track.
