Phyllis Hale Retires After 37 Years of Service
After 37 years of service, Phyllis Hale, the Administrative Assistant to the Head of School, retired last week from Prince Avenue Christian School. Mrs. Hale is the last original staff member from the school’s beginning and has remained faithful in her role throughout the school’s transitions over the years.
Seth Hathaway, Head of School, commented on Mrs. Hale’s loyal tenure at the school. “Mrs. Phyllis Hale has been a guiding presence for thousands of Prince Avenue students during her service in a number of teaching and administrative positions. For almost four decades the school has benefited from her diligence and dedication, her love for children and our families as seen through her professionalism, grace, and discretion. Phyllis' retirement was planned last spring and true to her professional form, she played an important role in helping me select her replacement.”
Mrs. Hale’s husband, Mike, has been supportive of Prince Avenue during Phyllis’ many years of service to the school. The Hales have been blessed with four grandchildren and play an integral role in their lives. Retirement will afford them the opportunity to enjoy more time with family.
