Wolverines Advance to 2nd Round of GHSA State Baseball Play-Offs, Time Change
On Friday, April 28th, the Prince Avenue Christian School Baseball Wolverines competed in the the 1st Round of GHSA State Baseball Play-Offs defeating Athens Academy in a double-header at home and advancing to the 2nd Round of State Play-Offs.
In Game 1, the score was 1-0. Danny Westbury pitched a complete one-hitter game. Trace Jeffers had the winning RBI with a double to score Shelby Davis.
In Game 2, the score was 5-0. Trace Jeffers pitched a complete no-hitter game. The Wolverine offense was led by Max Woolery with 3 hits and Noah Campbell with 2 hits.
The 2nd Round Play-Offs Double-Header scheduled for Thursday, May 4th has been changed to Wednesday, May 3rd at 4:00 pm due to predicted bad weather. The game will be played at Mount De Sales Academy, (4659 Cavalier Dr. Macon, GA 31206). Admission is $10.00.
If Wednesday’s double-header ends in a split, a third game will be played on Thursday, May 5th at 5:00 pm also at Mount De Sales Academy. Admission to that “if” game is $7.00.
