PACS 2016-2017 Yearbook Receives Superior Rating
At the end of last school year, the 2016-2017 yearbook staff submitted the Prince Avenue Christian School Yearbook, Koinoinia, to be evaluated by two organizations, Southern Interscholastic Press Association (SIPA) and American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA). These organizations review the yearbook and offer feedback in improving yearbook publications in the future.
The PACS yearbook staff received the reviews in September. SIPA judged the yearbook on reader services, coverage, writing, design, photography, and special touches, and awarded the Koinonia an overall rating of superior.
The ASPA evaluated the yearbook for content presentation, general page design, general photography, publication structure, and creativity. The PACS yearbook was awarded 820 out of 1000 points resulting in a 2nd place finish.
Yearbook advisor Allison Bentley expresses gratitude for the excellent work of her students. “We were blessed to be able to publish an amazing book last year. The bar has been set very high by last year’s staff. We look forward to using the feedback from these organizations to improve the Koinoinia so that the PACS yearbook is something that students, faculty, parents, and alumni are able to reference now and in the future.”
