PACS Fine Arts Places 3rd in Regional One Act Competition
The Prince Avenue Christian School high school Fine Arts Department recently placed third in the Georgia High School Association Region 8 One Act Competition with their production of Still Life with Iris. Additionally, senior Mary Grace Palmer and junior Abby Frost were selected as All-Star cast members.
This marks the first time in the program’s history that PACS Fine Arts has placed in region competition. The lead role of Iris was played by senior Mary Grace Palmer. The supporting actors included Rebecca Hathaway as Iris’ mother, sophomore Thompson Sewel as Mr. Matternot, and junior Abby Frost and Christopher Harding as Gretta and Grotto Good.
In addition to the thirteen PACS actors, there were four crew members – Deven Desai (stage manager), Isaac Moore (assistant stage manager), Logan Thomas (sound), and Chloe Ferguson (makeup and hair). Some students contributed in multiple areas. Actor Abby Frost designed the set for this production, and stage manager Deven Desai designed the lights.
The next production by the PACS Fine Arts Department will be Seussical the Musial on March 15 – 17, 2018 at Seney-Stovall Chapel.
