The PACS Interact Club Sponsors “The BIG Thank You” Campaign
The Prince Avenue Christian School Interact Club recently sponsored “The Big Thank You” campaign in which students in all grade levels had the opportunity to write letters to United States soldiers stationed overseas during the holidays.
PACS students wrote heartfelt handwritten letters to troops who will be away from friends and family during Thanksgiving and Christmas. In years past, some of the soldiers have written back and expressed appreciation for the support and encouragement. This year the Interact Club collected and mailed 457 letters.
Prince Avenue high school art teacher and Interact Club sponsor Meghan Hudson commented on the dedication of Prince students and teachers. “As I was mailing the letters, the post office attendant asked for details about the project. She said, ‘You must teach at a special school that would take the time to do this.’ She hit the nail on the head! Our teachers are great to take the time to help instill a sense of gratitude in our students.”
