Emily Weaver Named Rotary Student of the Semester
Senior Emily Weaver has been named Prince Avenue Christian School's Rotary Student of the Semester selected by teachers for her demonstration of the Rotary Club motto of “Service Above Self.”
Emily, the daughter of Chris and Tracey Weaver, chose Ben Wallis, Director of Spiritual Life, to share this honor with her. Emily says that she chose Mr. Wallis because of his unique ability to build meaningful relationships with his students. “Mr. Wallis pours into me spiritually. To him, students are not just students; they are people that he is responsible for, so he prepares them spiritually while also getting to know what makes them unique.”
Emily has attended PACS for seven years. Her notable achievements include being the top of her class for the past six years, being a National Merit Semifinalist, and receiving the Georgia Certificate of Merit. Emily is a talented member of the concert and jazz bands and is active on the PACS Academic Team. Emily is also a member of the National Honor’s Society, Beta Club, and Interact Club. Emily attends Prince Avenue Baptist Church where she is active in the youth group.
After graduation, Emily plans to attend Clemson University and major in Engineering. Emily explains that her time at PACS has prepared her for the future. “Prince has provided an environment in which I have learned critical thinking skills and have had many opportunities for growth. I am especially thankful for the good friends and teachers that I have here.”
