Weaver and Hodges Advance to State Literary Meet Competition

Prince Avenue Christian School high school students recently competed in Region Literary Meet Competition hosted on campus in the Prince Avenue Baptist Church building.

Competing in Dramatic Interpretation was senior Rebecca Hathaway, Human Interpretation was senior Mary Grace Palmer, and Duo Interpretation was both Rebecca Hathaway and Mary Grace Palmer. 

Girls Solo was performed by sophomore Riley Wilson, and Boys Solo was performed by freshman Finn McGinnis.  Performing for Girls Trio were freshman Lizzy Coleman and sophomores Emilie David and Chloe Ferguson.  Performing for Boys Quartet were freshmen Hendley Jones and Finn McGinnis and sophomores Jack Johnston and Thompson Sewell. 

Senior Sarah Thompson competed in Argumentative Essay; senior Tyler Roberts competed in Personal Essay; senior Emily Weaver competed in Rhetorical Essay, and sophomore Sammy Hodges competed in Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking. 

Emily Weaver and Sammy Hodges both placed second in their events and will advance to the State Literary Meet.
