Varsity Girls Cross Country Team Makes School History, Qualifies for State Meet
The Prince Avenue Christian School Varsity Girls Cross Country team made school history this week when they qualified in regional competition to compete in the State Cross Country Meet to be held Friday, November 2nd in Carrollton, Georgia.
Five Prince runners placed in the top 40 with four of those in the top 25. Sophomores Olivia Shiver and Elizabeth Coleman placed 9th and 19th respectively. Freshman Magill Bahnsen placed 22nd, junior Maddy Wilson placed 23rd, sophomore Bailey Hicks placed 37th, and freshman Kyla Bowen placed 56th. The team came in fourth place overall.
Prince Athletic Director Richard Ricketts confirms that this is only the second time in school history the Varsity Girls Cross Country Team has qualified for state competition. Congratulations to these Prince athletes for their hard work and dedication resulting in a successful season.
