Fine Arts Students Advance to State in Literary Competition
Six Prince Avenue Christian School Fine Arts students have advanced to the state level of competition after competing in the Region 8-A Literary Competition. Prince Avenue hosted this year’s events with students from all over the region competing in a variety of events. Prince Avenue students competed in the following areas:
In the area of Essay: Hunter Melton – Argumentative Essay, Tanny Iley – Personal Essay, and Jaden Drudge – Rhetorical Essay.
In the area of Speaking: Sammy Hodges – Extemporaneous Domestic and Mac Ross – Extemporaneous International.
In the area of Oral Performance: Abby Frost – Humorous, Riley Wilson – Dramatic and Jack Johnston and Thompson Sewell – Duo.
In the area of Musical Performance: Jack Johnston – Boys Solo, Emily David – Girls Solo, Emma Allen, Chloe Ferguson, and Riley Wilson – Girls Trio, and Walker Johnson, Jack Johnston, Finn McGinnis, and Thompson Sewell – Boys Quartet.
The following students all placed 2nd in their events and will compete at the state level on Saturday, March 16th to be held at Georgia Military Academy in Milledgeville:
