Akin Named Interim Spiritual Life Director
Prince Avenue Christian School is pleased to announce that Mr. Brandt Akin has been named the school’s interim Director of Spiritual Life. Since his arrival at Prince in 2017, Brandt has served as a high school Bible teacher, baseball coach, and recently accompanied the senior class on their international mission trip to Costa Rica. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Georgia, and a Master of Arts in Global Leadership with an emphasis on Biblical Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. Prior to serving at Prince, Brandt was a student pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, Georgia and also a student pastor for seven years at Oconee Heights Baptist Church in Athens.
Brandt’s familiarity with Prince and its culture, exceedingly strong interpersonal skills, gift for working with young people, and admiration and respect of our students, made him the unanimous choice by the school’s administrative leadership team as the interim Director of Spiritual Life. He is married to the former Morgan Smith, and they have two sons, Luke and Will. His personal hobbies and interests include watching sports, reading, hunting, and fishing.
You are welcome to drop Brandt a note at bakin@princeave.org to congratulate him on this new and exciting role!
