2018-19 Yearbook Dedicated to Teachers Mandy Scoggins and Meghan Hudson
The 2018-2019 Prince Yearbook Staff recently presented the award-winning 37th edition of the Koinonia to the Prince student body. This year’s edition of the Koinonia was dedicated to two Prince Avenue faculty members – middle school Social Studies teacher Mandy Scoggins and high school Art teacher Meghan Hudson.
Mandy Scoggins has been at Prince for ten years and in the education field for 18 years. Students describe Mrs. Scoggins as a passionate and inspiring teacher. Middle School Principal Daniel Head describes Mrs. Scoggins as an invaluable member of the middle school faculty. “Mandy has a heart for middle school students and is a gifted teacher. Her ability to build relationships with students and find ways to bring out the best in them is inspiring. She has a love for the Lord, and her desire for students to know the love of Jesus is a major reason her students love her classes.”
Meghan Hudson has been at Prince for eight years and in the education field for 14 years. Students say that Mrs. Hudson is very accepting of their creative ideas in her classroom while also helping them apply the necessary skills to make those ideas a reality. High School Principal Jesse Owens describes Mrs. Hudson as a joy to have among the high school faculty. “As a co-worker, Meghan’s positive attitude, sense of humor, and kindness are a daily blessing to her peers. Her ability to engage and connect with students while demonstrating Christ’s love is evident to all who know her.”
