Riley Wilson Wins Best Actress, Prince Places 2nd in State One-Act Competition
With her lead role in Prince Avenue’s Fine Arts One-Act Production of Freaky Friday, senior Riley Wilson has brought home the highest Performing Arts honor as Best Actress in State. Riley’s accomplishment makes school history along with the cast and crew of Freaky Friday as they all earned second place in the GHSA State One-Act Competition for Class A Private.
Riley says she is honored and grateful for this award and credits the cast and crew with her historical accomplishment. “We are truly a family in this department, and I would not have been able to win this award without their support and love.”
The cast and crew were excited to perform in State One-Act Competition as Prince Fine Arts had never advanced to state before. The group competed at Warner Robins High School against seven other schools. Riley was joined in the award spotlight by seniors Emilie David and Thompson Sewell who were selected for All-Star Cast at state competition.
Riley is an excellent example of a student who has flourished in the Prince Fine Arts program having begun her acting career in Little Prince Players in 2nd-grade. She continued to perform throughout middle and high school productions and now has plans to pursue a degree in Acting and Musical Theatre.
Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of Freaky Friday for their excellence in Fine Arts and for representing PACS so well.
